Fitness Workshops and Series - Build Physical and Mental Strength

Our workshops and series are geared towards teens and adults. Classes focus on deepening your understanding of various physical activities while connecting with other members of the YMCA community.

Balance and Falls Series
In this series, discuss safety tips and learn some balance and core exercises that build confidence in daily living activities.

TRX
Build strength and improve mobility and flexibility in workshops utilizing TRX equipment.

Foam Rolling
An in-depth class on the benefits of foam rolling and teaching the methods and proper way of SMR. Sessions available at the Aurora YMCA.

Gong Bath
Gong baths are a type of inactive meditation, where you “bathe” in the healing vibrations of sound.

Pilates
In these workshops, learn how Pilates can help bring greater awareness to body movements and build strength, flexibility, balance and control.

Studio Y
Interval training style workouts within a group providing mental encouragement, inspiration and social connection proven to help individuals reach their health goals.

Women on Weights
In this progressive series, takes an in-depth look at classic lifts such as squat, deadlift and bench press. Dumbbell exercises are also introduced.
