Please welcome Darryl Jacobs to his role as Regional Director for the YMCA of Metro Denver. In this role, he will oversee the management and operations of the Littleton, Southwest and University Hills-Schlessman, YMCAs.
Before joining the YMCA, Darryl served in leadership positions in business, sports, sports technology and non-profit fields including as a college basketball analyst and commentator for ESPN Networks and as executive director for diversity, equity and inclusion for Rising Coaches DEI-Alliance. He has been a featured guest on radio and television programs, discussing the importance of maintaining character, integrity, and a sense of purpose for youth. Darryl is also a motivational speaker and mentor to student-athletes.
He has volunteered his time to many organizations serving on the boards or committees including the United States of America Weightlifting, United States of America Fencing, World Sports Alumni, Alzheimer's NJ and various NCAA committees.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from William Penn University and a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He is a native of Paterson, NJ.
